Public Address Amplifiers for Announcements and Music

Brief the job, not the box

An amplifier brief should name the rooms, the zones, and the two kinds of sound: announcements that must be understood, and music that should sit quietly. The amplifier follows that job, and a brief written around the job gets a reply matched to the rooms.

Zone counts belong in the brief in plain terms: how many zones, which rooms share a zone, and which rooms need their own message. Zone counts shape the amplifier discussion more than any other single fact.

Announcements first, music second

In most public address briefs, announcements outrank music. The brief should say so where it is true, and name the rooms where announcements must never be missed. Music questions can then be answered for the rooms where music matters, without letting music set the terms for the whole system.

Rooms used for both announcements and music need both questions answered. Name those rooms explicitly, because a room named only for announcements may be answered without its music needs, and the reverse.

What to ask about this category

Ask how the amplifier line fits the zone plan, what to measure in each room, and what to check on a sample. Then ask the commercial questions in the same message, and confirm the specification sheet before ordering.

Share your quantity and target date to get MOQ and lead time for your order. Before payment, confirm every term that applies to your order.
